Rangoons as usual, until a dish breaks in the kitchen…no big deal.
Another one breaks…and other things are hitting walls.
Voices(in Chinese) are raising..
It actually got to the point where I swear I heard someones body hitting a wall…
Some kitchen dude peeked out the door into the dining room..and I figured he was
picking out his next victim.

I think I’ll give the place some time to settle down.
Why?
Because just about every time I go to do something that really ought to be fairly intuitive to a long-time Office user, I have to either:
1) poke around a LOT of submenus..
2) consult….<gasp> help files!

simply scan a frikin document.

Last night the band played for the fellows at the Salvation Army Rehab Ctr , downtown in Portland.
It was a great time, and the guys really seemed to enjoy themselves: as did we!

Well, Levi and I completed our first trebuchet.
Not bad: it fires, doesn;t come apart, and actually threw one of Spring’s small bottles of
plant food about 36 feet.

Iran has unveiled what it says is its first domestically built unmanned – or drone – bomber.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the plane could serve as a “messenger of death”, but that its key message was one of friendship.
Iranian state TV later showed the “Karrar” aircraft in flight.
It said it had a range of 1,000km (620 miles) and could carry two 250-pound (115kg) bombs, or a precision bomb of 500 pounds.
The plane is the latest in a series of new pieces of military hardware unveiled by Iran.
“This jet is a messenger of honour and human generosity and a saviour of mankind, before being a messenger of death for enemies of mankind,” President Ahmadinejad said after unveiling the Karrar at a ceremony with defence officials.
“The key message is friendship,” he added. “We must make efforts to render all the enemy’s weapons useless with our defence potential.”

“It would be good to know if the employer banned firearms on the premises. The killer, a former employee, would know this. Plenty of people hate police, but when did the last shooting with multiple innocent victims occur in a police station? At a gun range? In an open carry state?”
Ok, so here’s the facts:
1) we don’t know at present, the answer to the fellows question, so we’ll let that rest for the moment
2) If someone onsite DID have a personal handgun, they COULD have prevented people from being shot
3) Jesus said to “turn the other cheek”
4) Does #3 mean that a Christian shouldn’t come to the aid of others, even if it means using deadly force?
So, after a long time, and much whining & well, just plain procrastinating I have gotten a really good start on a very modest home music studio in the basement.
It’s largely made possible by Damien, a friend who kindly gave me some special sub-flooring stuff to raise the floor off the basement concrete, because once & a while it can get a little wet due to a under-foundation leak(which is btw, due to poor drainage).
It’s roughly 12×11, and last night Levi & I put up the 4th wall.
Plans include sheetrocking the walls, and I should mention also that my brother has mentioned he’s going to give me some foam insulation material for the walls, which should help quiet things greatly.
Sooo there ya go!
Hopefully, I/we will be making some music down there soon!
