I’ve been enduring this “jumping cursor” problem for some time now.
What is it? Well, it’s maddening! You’re typing away on an e-mail, a document , etc and all of a sudden, with no warning, reasonĀ etc, the mouse cursor jumps to ‘some’ place in your document/e-mail, and continues on it’s merry(but maddening) way.
And it’s one thing to notice it while you’re typing: quite another when you suck at typing, and hunt & peck like me, and therefore, don’t notice until you’re several lines into it, because you;re looking at the keyboard…..
Well anywhoo, I just put a change in place that seems to be working nicely, and I’m REALLY hopingĀ it’s permanent.
It’s the ‘TrackStick’ according to Dell (on a Latitude) see item#26
What I did:
I ran C:\Program Files\DellTPad\DellTPad.exe then finagled things, until it let me disable the thing.
It’s back…
