my Coat of Arms

In my endless effort to connect with tradition, and things…old and Knightly,

I have registered a blazon with the U.S. Heraldic Registry as follows:

This certifies that the heraldic arms of
Richard Arthur Gouette
are registered as an original design and described by the blazon below
Arms: Or a lion rampant Gules langued Azure within an orle of gouttes d’sang.
Crest: A Goose regardant Or.
Mantling: Gules doubled Or
Motto: Vive La Liberte (Long live freedom)
Rationale:
The Lion represents courage and bravery in battle, and in life, as well as paying respect to the biblical reference to Christ as the Lion of Judah. The Goose is an ancient Celtic Christian symbol representing the Holy Spirit as well as a representation of the armiger’s nickname of “Goose” while serving in the US Navy.

(this is a very rough rendering of the blazon: to be done right when I can afford it someday)
